About Host Routecore
A quiet room for difficult details
We give applicants and advisers a disciplined pause between completing an insurance form and submitting it.
Host Routecore began with a recurring observation: many application delays do not begin with a difficult fact. They begin when a true fact is described differently in two places, when an income period is unclear, or when a conditional question is left unanswered.
Our role
We are independent application reviewers. We do not sell policies, underwrite risk, diagnose health conditions, or decide what an insurer considers material. Our work is to read what is already there, compare it with the records agreed in scope, and point to places where the account is incomplete or internally inconsistent.
That narrow role matters. It keeps the applicant responsible for their answers, the adviser responsible for regulated advice, and the insurer responsible for underwriting.
How we work
Every issue note names the page, question, observation, and next conversation to consider. Plain language takes priority over red ink. A mark does not mean an answer is wrong; sometimes it means another reader could reasonably understand it in more than one way.
We follow South African privacy principles, collect only records needed for the agreed review, limit access to the assigned reviewer, and apply a documented retention schedule. Sensitive documents are never requested through the public contact form.
The people behind the reading
Our small Durban practice draws on experience in policy administration, quality assurance, financial-document reconciliation, and client communication. Where a question requires accounting, legal, medical, or regulated financial advice, we say so and refer it back to the appropriate professional.
Our working values are simple: preserve the applicant’s own voice, never minimise a disclosure, keep the scope visible, and explain every flag.
